On this project, I was contracted, through Drexel University, to develop a website, written in Java, to deliver weapon performance data over the web. The system tied into Oracle via JDBC, and would allow customers of APG to download tables of data in a secure and timely manner.
This project is where the light bulb went off in my head that folks need to stop writing "websites" and start working on frameworks. The system was essentially an SQL to HTML converter. But in writing it, I realized just how powerful a presentation layer HTML was.
